Greetings to you in the name of Our Lord Jesus Christ from the Vicar, Trustees and the Parishioners of Infant Jesus Church. May the Infant Jesus bless you with His tiny hands and grant you Peace, Happiness and Prosperity is our earnest prayers.

The Parish of Infant Jesus Church is situated in 20 cents of land and 12 Kms. away on the north eastern end of Coimbatore City. There are 160 families in this parish that range from daily wage earners, private sector employees and a minimum few having own business in a small scale. The Parish church building is simple, beautiful, serene and silent and occupies almost the entire land area without any space on either sides and at the back of the church excepting for a small portion of vacant space in the front leading to the entrance to the church from the Panchayat main Road. As there are new colonies coming up day after day in this part of the city there is every likely hood of increase in the number of families in this parish within a span of few years and there is no scope for any kind of expansion due to the reason that the church is presently surrounded by residential houses on two sides but for a factory with vacant land adjoining the compound wall of the church on the northern side. Of late it has come to our knowledge that the owner of the vacant land and factory adjoining to our church is of the view of disposing a portion of the land to meet his financial crisis. On enquiry, he has accepted to sell the portion of the land measuring about 20 cents adjoining the church for a reasonable rate at Rs. 3 lakhs per cent which will be of a great use not only in the immediate present but also in the future to accommodate and to manage the expected increase in the number of families that would come up within the ear marked boundary of this parish.

With a far sighted vision and after much praying and fasting, the parishioners have decided to venture to purchase the said 20 cents of land not for the purpose of acquiring an asset but due to compulsion of the situation that once the land is sold out to any other person we will never have any other chance or opportunity to get a land adjoining to the church and the posterity will blame the present parishioners for having missed the chance without taking any initiative in the interests of the future of the parish. With this in view, the parishioners have come forward to offer their mite towards this good cause by contributing a month’s income of the family or to offer one lakh rupee to the cause free of interest returnable after 3 years. Thus a sum of Rs. 35 lakhs has been collected as offering in writing and for the deficit amount of Rs. 30 lakhs it has been proposed to approach all like minded people in and around the city as well as within the country and abroad.

Therefore, I, the Vicar on behalf of the parishioners place an appeal before you to kindly pray to the Lord and consider offering an amount which the Lord may prompt you to donate either as donation or on loan free of interest refundable after a period of 3 years. For this your act of kindness, the Lord will bless you and your family abundantly according to his promises “ I will open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you an overflowing blessing” ( Malachi: 4:10.).
